Girls on social media

 Have you seen those reels and tictoks where a girl smiles at you and music plays in the background? The model doesn’t do much as opposed to winking or doing something that makes her look cute. These reels have millions of views and likes. To be honest this boils my brain. I’m not against anything here nor am I roasting someone, what boggles me is that there is not much to see or do and yet they trend. Why?

The answer lies in our evolutionary biology. You see, men are hardwired to the visual cues, we see a female interested in us and went and followed her. Unfortunately, we still do that but this time on social media! The cues given are not real and neither the girl! It is just a video and it will be the same 10 years from now whether you like it or not.

But the male brain sees it as an invitation. Long ago when we were hunter-gatherers, the females wooed us by these non-vocal signs, it was a mating technique to call the wanted one and ignore the rest. With the internet, this situation explodes, where a guy from India is seduced by a girl sitting in the UK who has no idea of his existence.

Another thing being subconscious signaling, the body language messages that can be sent and received only on an innate level. The girls know what they’re doing and they’re so good at it. What meets the eye is just a clip with music but you can’t imagine the thought going into it and all this happens on a subconscious level where we don’t understand what happens and before we know it, we’re checking out her page/profile.

I think it's amazing how it works and girls have found a way to monetize it. The principle being Onlyfans where the girls are being paid basically for being friendly! It came to me as a surprise that everything on the site is not sexual even though that’s the main USP. Guys want a connection and that is being provided by them. It also illuminates the fact that even in the stone age we had men who weren’t as macho as we think and probably shied out to talk to women and act on their cues but something like Onlyfans solves this problem.

Girls are much more aware of this phenomenon they understand what looks good on them and what moves and postures would make them look desirable, this again goes without any feminist or patriarchal intensions, of course, women don’t dress well only be desirable they also do this to block the chances of other women.

So, follow them or not, get wooed or not now you know a little something that would make the world a little bit more obvious.
